Irritec is pleased to announce the forthcoming release of the first Italian film focused on the world of wine: Vinodentro, in Italian cinemas from September 11th . The new film by Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani is a singular Faustian noir based on the passion for “signature wines”. Irritec was seduced by the promotion of the wonderful Italian vineyards and wines and thus decided to support the distribution of the film.
The story is about John Cuttin, an Italian wine writer, who joins public tastings, conferences and the presentations of his autobiographical book, Vinodentro, until he meets a mysterious, beautiful woman who takes him into a vortex with no way out . A Faustian tale, between noir and comedy, where the protagonist is forced to retrace and go through the transformations of his life in the rational perspective of a police investigation. An Italian film focused on the world of wine and its fascinating rituals, away from the stereotypes and inaccuracies often used in films dealing with this topic.
The film was presented in Venice on September 2nd at the Villa degli Autori accompanied by the music of Paolo Fresu. The presentation was organized and hosted by the producers of Vinodentro (Alba Productions and Moodyproduction), the distributors of Nomad Films, the director Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani, some of the main characters: the “Professor” Lambert Wilson (Of Gods and Men, Moliere bike ), the “mystery woman” Daniela Virgilio (Crime Novel – The series), the rising star Gianmaria Martini (Romanzo di una strage, Diaz) and Carmelo Giuffrè and Giulia Giuffrè from Irritec.
Vinodentro was played by Vincenzo Amato, Pietro Sermonti and Daniela Virgilio, with the participation of Giovanna Mezzogiorno and with Lambert Wilson. The script was written by Heidrun Schleff, together with Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani, the photographer is Dante Spinotti, editing was made by Alexander Heffler under the supervision of Claudio Cutry, set design by Massimo Santomarco, costumes by Alessandro Lai. The delegate producer is Rosanna Seregni, the producers are Sandro Frezza, Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani and Evelina Manna. The film is distributed by Nomad Film Distribution.
